Nunca me agradaram os Mercedes. Nunca gostei. Por um lado era o facto de toda a gente gostar deles e por outro era o facto de simplesmente não me agradarem. Mas tenho de confessar que as coisas mudaram e que desde há uns tempos para cá os novos Mercedes não são assim tão maus como isso. O anúncio publicitário do novo Class-C está assim-assim, e até conta com a presença do grande campeão de Formula 1, el nuestro hermano Fernando Alonso. Mais um espanhol que não suporto. Para que fique claro, eu não tenho nada contra os espanhóis em geral, mas há alguns em particular que não suporto. O Alonso é um. O Nadal é outro! E para que não pensem que sou contra espanhóis com sucesso, defendo-me já que sempre apoiei o Juan Carlos Ferrero nos seus jogos. Mas adiante. Aqui, na terra onde o sol já brilha até às 10 da noite mas que continua a não aquecer, os anúncios de tv passam na língua original com legendas. Este da Mercedes passa em inglês. Eu diria que em terras lusas o anúncio passará dobrado, pois o mestre Alonso não deverá falar a língua de Camões. E acredito que o grande campeão tenha hablado na respectiva versão espanhola. O que me espanta é que na inglesa não é ele que fala. A voz que se ouve no anúncio não tem nada a ver com a voz que ouvimos nas entrevistas ao pódio das corridas domingueiras. Felizmente na última, não tivemos de aturar este senhor a que me refiro, pois não conseguiu melhor que um quinto lugar. No anúncio, é uma voz sem sotaque espanhol, um tom diferente, um tom de quem sabe falar inglês, mas dá-me a impressão que o artista mexe os lábios de acordo com o discurso inglês. Pode ser que eu esteja errado e que os senhores das dobragens até tenham feito um bom trabalho, mas isso não altera em nada a má impressão com que fiquei ao ver o grande campeão ser dobrado em inglês. Será que os senhores da Mercedes têm um tradutor para falar com ele durante as corridas? Eu diria que não. Embora carregadinho de sotaque, o homem lá se desenrasca nas entrevistas, então porque raio não foi ele a falar no anúncio? Sinceramente, acho que só lhe fica mal. Para isso mais valia estar quieto.

I never enjoy Mercedes cars. Never liked them. In one way, it was because everyone loves them, and by other way, I just simply didn't like them. But I have to confess that since them things have changed and that the new Mercedes aren't that bad. The tv commercial spot of the new Class-C is more-or-less okay, and even has as main actor the great Formula 1 champion, el nuestro hermano Fernando Alonso. Another spanish I can't stand. But to make it clear, I have nothing against spanish people in generally, just can't stand some in particular. Alonso is one of them. Nadal is another! But don't you think I am against successful spanish people, because in my defense I always supported Juan Carlos Ferrero during all his games. But let's keep on. Here, in the land where the sun already shines until 10 in the night but still doesn't get any warmer, the tv commercial spots are in their original language but with subtitles. This one from Mercedes is in english. I would say that in portugal, the speech is converted to portuguese, because the master Alonso probably won't talk the language of Camões. And I believe that he has hablado in the spanish version of it. But what amazes me is that in the english one, the original, it is not him to talk. The voice we hear is nothing like Alonso's voice during the interview after the Sunday races. Luckily we didn't have to listen to him last Sunday. Back to the tv spot, the speech has no spanish accent, and has a different tone, sounds like it knows how to talk proper english and it looks that Alonso is really following the speech with his lips. I can be wrong about this, and the people that converted the speech to english may have done a really good job, but that doesn't change in any way the bad impression I got when I saw the great champion talking with someone else's voice. Do Mercedes have a translator to talk to him during the races? I would say they don't. Although with a strong accent, the man finds his way during the interviews, so why in the hell isn't him doing the speech? Honestly, I think it looks really bad. For that, it would have been better to be quiet.
